Cookie Policy and similar types of technologies

Cookies Cookies are small data files sent from a server to your web browser. They are stored in your browser’s cache memory and allow a website or a third party to recognize your browser. There are three main types of cookies:

Session cookies are specific to a particular visit and remember information as you browse different pages, avoiding the need to re-enter that information each time you change pages or try to place an order. Session cookies expire and are automatically deleted after a short period of time, for example, when you leave the site or close your web browser.

Persistent cookies store certain information about your preferences when you visit the site and allow Zia’s Beauties to identify you each time you return. Persistent cookies are stored in your browser’s cache or on your mobile device until you delete them, and otherwise generally delete when they expire.

Third-party cookies are inserted by someone other than Zia’s Beauties and may collect information about browsing activities across multiple websites and sessions. These are types of persistent cookies that are stored until you delete them or they expire based on a specific time period for each.

Cookies store data about your usage, but they are useful because they help Zia’s Beauties function and personalize your experience. You can configure the settings of your desktop or mobile browser to indicate whether you prefer to accept or reject cookies and how to manage third-party cookies (see below in the “Managing Your Cookie Technology Preferences” section).

Other Technologies In addition to cookies, other similar technologies are used by Zia’s Beauties and elsewhere, on the web or in mobile ecosystems.

Web beacons: Tiny graphics (sometimes called “invisible gifs” or “web pixels”) with a unique identifier that are used to understand browsing activities. Unlike cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, web beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages when you open them.

Social media widgets: Buttons or icons provided by third-party social media providers that allow you to interact with the services of those social networks when you view a web page or open a mobile app screen. These social media widgets may collect browsing data, which may be received by the third party that provided the widget, and they are controlled by third parties.

UTM codes: Strings that can appear in a URL (“Uniform Resource Locator”) when a user moves from one web page or website to another. These strings can provide navigation information, such as which ad, page, or web publisher directed the user to the destination website.

App SDKs: Third-party software development kits for mobile apps that are inserted into the apps (and are used in many mobile apps). These app SDKs allow for collecting information about the app itself, activity within the app, and the device on which the app is running.

Local storage objects: Data groups that can be stored on your browser by a website or app. They can be used to retain preferences, usage history, or even the state or settings of a website or app.

IoT (Internet of Things) identifiers: Just like with identifiers for mobile devices, Internet-connected devices such as voice-activated assistants or Smart TVs can send identifiers and similar data to web browsers or mobile development kits.
